Why I (Re)started my Site

Authors

Hey!

I made my last personal website when I was a senior in high school. I fondly remember working on it when I got on the Subway, coming home from school. It was written using Jekyll, which is a pretty cool name for a static website generator if you ask me. My last website was hosted on Github Pages, served using a GitHub repo, but something between then (2017) and now (2021) messed up the domain registration and security of that site. So, in the spirit of revival, I've decided to redo my personal site. I'll possibly transfer most (but not all) content from that site here, but I'm pretty sure no one was actively browsing it, so you aren't really missing much. Hopefully more people read this one!

It's pretty late at the time of writing this, but I essentially bootstrapped this site up using a NextJS template that's been linked below, and I've learned a good amount in doing so. Here's to good writing! Enjoy your winter! Stay safe out there as well.
